Do businesses have to pay to get on the ballot?
No way! It is 100% free to participate. We do have options to give your business more exposure, but purchasing advertising does not guarantee anything for the contest. If you are interested in getting your business logo on the ballot, click here to download our media kit.
How can my business get on the ballot?
You are able to write-in during the nomination period. We are able to add write-ins to the ballot as the votes come in, hopefully leveling the playing field for new and up-and-coming nominees. So if you submit a nominee, check back the next day and it should be on the ballot for all to see — and for you to share!
Information about my business is incorrect.
Tell us what’s wrong and we’ll get it fixed! If you spot an error, or if your business or name should be removed from a category, let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When will winners be announced?
We hope to have a big party in October, but we’re playing that by ear, so stay tuned. Awards are announced to the public in the Best of the Pines magazine, which will be available in The Pilot newspaper on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
Do you have any materials to help nominees promote themselves?
We sure do! Free social media marketing graphics are available to download here. We encourage you to share these on Facebook, Instagram, add them to your email signature, print them out and put them by your register … use them to your advantage!
Can I advertise in the Best of the Pines magazine?
